Biden Urges Netanyahu to Find a Solution for Palestinian Issues
9mmm)Outgoing U.S. Democratic President Joe Biden stated on Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must find a solution to address the legitimate issues faced by Palestinians, emphasizing that this is necessary for Israel's stability.
Referring to Netanyahu as a friend, Biden said, “Even though we don’t agree on everything, I want to remind my friend Bibi Netanyahu of one thing.” He added, “A significant portion of those who identify as Palestinians have no place to live their lives freely. Netanyahu must find a way to address their problems.”
Biden has faced criticism from various human rights groups for providing military and diplomatic support to Israel. Since Israeli attacks on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, over 46,000 people have been killed. Israel has been accused of war crimes and genocide, but the country has denied these allegations.
A vote was scheduled in the Israeli cabinet on the ceasefire agreement yesterday morning. However, Netanyahu announced just a few hours before that the vote had been postponed, casting uncertainty over the implementation of the ceasefire.
Today, Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the last-minute complications regarding the release of hostages from Gaza have been resolved. He mentioned that an agreement is forthcoming and that he is convening a security cabinet meeting. Following this, the government is expected to approve the long-awaited ceasefire agreement
